When did you stop trusting yourself?

Dearest [FIRST NAME]

When did you stop trusting yourself?

Not trusting your mind.

Not trusting your ability to think things through.

But trusting that quieter knowing beneath the noise.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about inherited exhaustion.

The patterns and ways of being we absorb from the women who came before us.

And since then, the excavation has continued.

And led me to explore, how I know what is authentically me.

How I know when a choice, a desire, a feeling or a decision is coming from my deepest truth…

rather than from conditioning?

It sounds simple.

But I am beginning to see that many of us have spent years learning how not to trust ourselves.

We question our intuition.

We repress what we feel.

We ask for advice before listening to our own knowing.

We search outside ourselves for answers.

And often, we become so used to this that we don’t even notice we are doing it.

We simply call it being sensible.

Responsible.

Careful.

And yet, somewhere underneath all of that,

there is usually a quieter voice.

A deeper knowing.

Not loud.

Not dramatic.

But rooted and authentic.

The challenge is not that this knowing is absent.

The challenge is that we have forgotten how to trust it.

And perhaps this is where a different kind of exhaustion begins.

Not the exhaustion of doing too much.

But the exhaustion of constantly questioning yourself.

Of knowing one thing and doing another.

Of feeling something but not giving it space.

Of editing what is true before it ever has the chance to be expressed.

This is something Lorna and I have been exploring deeply together.

And it has become the inspiration for our upcoming free masterclass:

What Your Exhaustion Is Trying To Tell You

A conversation about self-trust, embodiment and what becomes possible when we stop repressing ourselves and begin listening more deeply.

Because perhaps exhaustion is not simply asking us to rest.

Perhaps it is asking us to trust.

Hope to see you there,

Love & Blessings,

Katherine
